Careers in Therapy Services
Our Therapy staff has experienced significant growth over the past few years, due to the development of new programs, the arrival of new providers and the growth in our community. We are seeking staff interested in joining our inpatient and outpatient areas.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy provides services in acute care, outpatient, hand therapy, work hardening, pediatrics, home health, long-term care, Kenmare hospital and outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, Child Adolescent and Partial Hospitalization Program (CAPH), and contract facility of Souris Valley Care Center in Velva, ND. We are always looking for expansion of services, especially with the growth of our community and region. We are treating a wider range of diagnoses and seeing greater numbers in all areas. Our administration is supportive in growth of services to help us lead the healthcare needs of our region. Together our teams strive to provide the best services possible to all the patients we serve.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapy provides excellent opportunities for experienced professionals and/or upcoming graduates in both our hospital and long term care based programs. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in North Dakota.
- HOSPITAL SETTING: The primary caseload is in the acute care hospital setting. We are anticipating continued growth in our special joint replacement program and geriatric fracture programs in the hospital setting. We have a very well equipped department and a fully functional, integrated electronic health record.
- The Trinity Hospital OUTPATIENT PHYSICAL THERAPY department offers a wide-variety of opportunities available to students and professionals interested in job-shadowing and student affiliations. Outpatient Physical Therapy staff at Trinity assists patients with assessment and treatment of physical dysfunction that may arise from disease, injury, or illness. Our Outpatient Physical Therapy Department see a wide range of patients that include neuro- and sports-related injuries.
RESPIRATORY THERAPY
Respiratory therapy provides therapy and cardiopulmonary services in the Acute, ER, and Level II NICU outpatient settings. Performs all modes of respiratory therapy, to include EKGs, Bedside PFTs., ABGs, and ventilator care, including HHN, Metaneb, CPt, and cough assist.
SLEEP CENTER
The sleep center provides opportunities for Registered Sleep Technologists and Respiratory Therapists to work in an outpatient setting. Our services include the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Our patients include children, adults, and geriatric patients. We are a very progressive department and we have experienced significant growth over the last few years. The recent addition of a Sleep Educator has further expanded our scope of services. Education opportunities for nurses wanting to expand their knowledge to sleep diagnostics are also available.
SPEECH THERAPY
Speech therapy at Trinity hospital offers a wide-variety of opportunities available to students and professionals interested in job-shadowing, years of clinical fellowship, and therapist positions. Professional staff at Trinity assists patients with assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders including: swallowing, auditory comprehension, verbal expression, voice, and cognitive skills. Service sites include acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy services; as well as various contract outreach sites in communities throughout the region.
THERAPY SERVICES-TRINITY HOMES
This is a 230 bed skilled nursing facility-SNF. The Rehabilitation team consists of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology staff providing high quality care in a low key environment. Our schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with rotating holidays, and occasional weekends. Our strongest asset is our team oriented approach and positive work environment as well as a commitment to continued education and skills development. The majority of clients that receive rehabilitation services at Trinity Homes are discharged to an assisted living facility, foster care, or home/apartment.
