How can we help you?

The following "red flags" may indicate your child is at risk for having Autism. If your child exhibits any of the following symptoms, please don’t delay in pursuing an evaluation.

No big smiles or other warm, joyful expressions by six months or thereafter
No back-and-forth sharing of sounds, smiles or other facial expressions by nine months
No babbling by 12 months
No back-and-forth gestures such as pointing, showing, reaching or waving by 12 months
No words by 16 months
No meaningful, two-word phrases (not including imitating or repeating) by 24 months
Any loss of speech, babbling or social skills at any age

Autism Diagnostics Team

Trinity Health provides gold standard testing and a multidisciplinary team to help your child get the most appropriate and beneficial treatment. Testing includes autism diagnostic interview, autism diagnostic observation schedule, cognitive and adaptive skill assessments, speech and language skills, and developmental and sensory processing skill assessments.

Your Child’s Autism Evaluation

Your child’s Autism Evaluation will take place over two different appointments. The initial appointment will be for testing. Please be sure to confirm insurance pre-authorization.

After your child’s testing results have been reviewed, you will meet with a provider to review the results and ask any questions. If your child is diagnosed with autism, we will provide you with information to assist you in learning about autism and to ensure you are on the right path to helping your child achieve their full potential.

When you call to schedule an evaluation, the intake coordinator will gather information about our child over the phone. We will try to schedule you as quickly as possible, however note that there may be a waiting period ranging from several weeks to several months.
