Trinity Health is a Sentinel Lab under the nation’s Laboratory Response Network (LRN).  The LRN was established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after 9/11 to strengthen America’s preparedness for biological and chemical terrorism.

As a Sentinel Lab, Trinity Health is a front-line facility for detecting possible bio-terror threats.  Our role is to rule out microbiology agents or biological toxins and refer suspicious specimens to North Dakota’s reference laboratory at the North Dakota Department of Health.
