Trinity Health is pleased to welcome Adam MacKenzie, PhD, to our Behavioral Health team. Dr. MacKenzie is a licensed clinical psychologist, dedicated to providing evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to adults of all ages. He works with individuals and families to help manage a broad range of issues such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress. He is especially interested in personality and individual differences as it applies to conceptualizing psychopathology and intervention strategies.
A cum laude graduate of Minot State University, Dr. MacKenzie earned his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, and went on to receive his PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. He completed his doctoral internship at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi and he returned to Minot to complete a post-doctoral residency at Trinity Health. He is a member of the American Psychological Association.
