Members of the Minot Police Department presented $2,300 to Trinity Health Foundation, the result of a two-month drive that began with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and extended through to No-Shave November.

Captain Justin Sundheim says individuals throughout the department kicked in $35 per month or $60 for the two months to raise awareness and get a break from guidelines that limit facial hair to a half-inch mustache.

“It’s a reflection of our community ties,” Sundheim said.  “It shows that we share the same struggles as others in the community.”

The funds will provide direct financial assistance to patients at the Trinity CancerCare Center.
