(MINOT, ND)—Trinity Health will present an informational session on home health and hospice care Monday, November 19, at 5:30 p.m. in the Trinity Health Community Conference Room at Town & Country Center.
Home Health/Hospice Director Peggy Eisenzimmer, RN, will discuss the unique elements of these two services and how patients and families can access care when someone is in need of health services in the home or is facing end-of-life issues.
“Home health and hospice can play a vital role in maintaining or improving the quality of life for patients and family members,” Eisenzimmer said. “They provide expert care with the assurance of having the full range of multi-specialty services available.”
Home health provides a wide range of healthcare services in the home to patients recovering from illness or injury, or in need of continuing care. Hospice is medical care that is available to the patient and family when life prognosis is six months or less.
The talk, which is free and open to the public, is presented as part of “Healthy U,” a series of educational programs offered by Trinity Health. For more information, contact Trinity’s Community Education Department at 701-857-5099.
