Building Hope Raises Over $35,000 for CancerCare Patient Assistance Fund
On Monday, August 12, the Trinity Health Foundation held the 26th annual Building Hope Women’s Golf Tournament at Souris Valley Golf Course. Although rain had delayed the original date for the event, that did not stop the community from coming out to support a great cause.
With the weather being much better this time around, there were 31 teams that participated in the tournament. The outstanding support helped raise $35,538, which will benefit the Trinity Health CancerCare Patient Assistance Fund.
This fund provides cancer support programs free of charge and direct patient financial assistance to Trinity Health CancerCare patients.
“PINK” was the theme for this year’s tournament, where teams came dressed in their favorite pink attire to support CancerCare with a statement of unity and hope. Congratulations to Carla Vigested, Marie Sanders, Keli Kramer, and Kasha Diehl who took first place out of the 31 teams.
“To all our sponsors, participants and volunteers, your generosity and support have made Building Hope the success that it is,” said Dusty Zimmerman, Foundation Director. “Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight against cancer.”
