Trinity Health Sports Medicine, the region’s premier athletic training provider, is gearing up for its summer FASTER programs 2022.
Four training programs are available at Trinity’s MAYSA Dryland Room, a state-of-the-art training center located at MAYSA arena; they include General Training, Hockey-Specific, Cheer/Dance and Overhead Athlete Injury Prevention. Individual schools are also hosting FASTER sessions this summer at Nedrose, Velva, Our Redeemer’s, and South Prairie.
Each of the 8-week offerings begins June 7 unless an alternate has been established at the school sites. Registration deadline is June 2. Athletes registration includes two-sessions-per-week option, which costs $125.
Programs are designed by certified athletic trainers and are tailored to prevent the full range of sports-specific injuries with an emphasis on balance, core strength, foot speed, single leg strength, functional movement, and flexibility. Each program combines cardio training and functional strengthening.
