(MINOT, ND) – The Trinity Health Center for Diabetes Education will host a Diabetes Foot Clinic Monday, October 16, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Diabetes Center located in Suite 2, Town & Country Center.
Healthy foot assessments will be offered along with education on how to develop foot care habits that can prevent future complications.
Foot problems are common among people with diabetes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists diabetes as the leading cause of non-traumatic loss of a toe, foot, or leg. Diabetes can cause numbness and reduced blood flow, which makes it harder to detect foot problems and slows the healing process.
Foot clinic appointments are available by calling the Center for Diabetes Education at 857-5268.
