Magic City Youth Baseball

Magic City Youth Baseball asked Trinity Health Foundation for support in installing new safety fencing around some of the baseball fields. This safety fencing was designed to minimize the number of balls that go out of play and could potentially injure spectators. The fencing is now installed and provides a safer environment for those attending the games. Play ball!

Delay the Disease

Thanks to a gift from The Roger and Delores Odell Private Trust, the Delay the Disease program was offered in Minot and Kenmare. Delay the Disease is an evidence-based wellness program that empowers people with Parkinson’s Disease to live better and experience new levels of hope by optimizing function and restoring independence. This national program is designed to retrain the mind and body. Participants report an enhanced quality of life, functional and symptomatic improvement, and an optimistic attitude toward their diagnosis.

Quiet Hearts Music

Losing a loved one can be a very difficult time. As one grieves, one also wants to cherish the memories of the person who passed on. To assist families during this time of transition and remembrance when a resident of Trinity Homes passes away, a Memorial Music CD is sent to a family member. The cover of the CD is personalized, and a customized card is included for the family.

Community Leadership Institute

Trinity Health Foundation partners with Trinity Health and the Minot Chamber of Commerce to host one of the sessions for the Community Leadership Institute (CLI). As part of CLI, participants get a behind-the-scenes look at Minot through a 9-week course that takes them around the community to learn the ins-and-outs. During the healthcare session, attendees received an overview of current healthcare services in the community, plus an outlook on services that may be available in the future. They also learned more about NorthStar Criticair, Community Ambulance, and the SIM Truck.

Generosity Card

Sometimes having a loved one admitted to the hospital may not be a visitor’s only concern. There are times when family members, especially those who need to be here for several days, do not have enough money for food. That is where a Generosity Card can make a big difference. The idea for these cards was conceived by an employee who noticed family members who needed something to eat but did not have funds. As case managers meet with families to assess their needs, they provide these cards, funded by Trinity Health Foundation, and help those in need receive a nutritious meal.

Stuffed Animals for Children

Trinity Health Foundation provides stuffed animals that various departments give to children who are coming in for appointments. The animals can help brighten the day of a child who may be nervous or scared about their medical appointment.
