A member of our Neonatal Medicine team, Himadri Nath, MD, earned his medical degree from R.G. Kar Medical College, Calcutta University in Kolkata, India. Dr. Nath completed residencies in pediatrics at Dr. B.C. Roy Memorial Hospital for Children in Kolkata, India; and in pediatric medicine at Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh, India. He completed his residency in pediatrics at St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ; and then went on for a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. From there, he earned a master’s degree in health informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Nath holds board certifications in pediatrics, neonatal-perinatal medicine and clinical informatics. He enjoys traveling and reading books on non-fiction, philosophy and economics.

Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics consisting of the medical care of newborn infants, especially ill or premature newborns.
