Emergency physician Jeffrey Sather, MD, was among the key speakers at the American Heart Association’s ND Mission: Lifeline 2018 Cardiac & Stroke Regional Workshop Thursday in Minot. Clinicians from across the region gathered to hear the latest updates designed to maintain and improve North Dakota’s system for providing rapid management of patients with heart attack and stroke. Dr. Sather spoke to the group about new guidelines for managing patients who come to the emergency department with a broad range of coronary symptoms. In the afternoon he addressed how to recognize stroke in the rural ED. Dr. Sather serves as co-chair for the Mission: Lifeline initiative.
