Safe Kids Minot is partnering with the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services to provide free car seat checks in several rural communities this summer.
The checkups will be led by a certified technician, who will inspect car seats and assist with installation. Studies show four out of five child safety seats are utilized improperly.
The free car seat checks are scheduled in the following communities:
Bottineau – June 29, 12 to 4 p.m., Bottineau County Courthouse parking lot.
Kenmare – July 6, 12 to 4 p.m., Farmers Union Oil C-Store.
Mohall – July 19, 12 to 4 p.m., Mohall Ambulance parking lot.
McClusky – August 8, 12 to 4 p.m., Sheridan County Courthouse parking lot.
Garrison – August 11, 12 to 4 p.m., Garrison Max Ambulance parking lot.
Towner – September 14, 1 to 5 p.m., Towner Head Start parking lot.
