John M. Kutch, Trinity Health President & CEO
Dear Minot Community and the Region at Large:
This is the final letter in our series about transforming healthcare in western North Dakota and eastern Montana as tomorrow, April 30, 2023, we officially open the Trinity Health Healthcare Campus and Medical District. Our staff has worked tirelessly to plan a smooth and safe transition from the current medical campus to our new home in southwest Minot and now it’s time to put that plan into action.
Moving forward, patients seeking healthcare services will visit Trinity Health Hospital or the adjoining Trinity Health Medical Office Building (MOB). Both facilities support a modern patient experience, integrated computer systems, healing environmental design, and state-of-the-art technology. More importantly, these structures provide our highly-skilled staff with the space and equipment necessary to deliver the compassionate, world-class medical care you deserve.
Trinity Health Healthcare Campus and Medical District at-a-glance:
— The 43-acre campus is home to both the new hospital and attached MOB for convenient patient care – all in one location.
— The hospital is six stories tall, occupies about 600,000 square feet, and features a holistic, patient-centered design for added patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
— The MOB is six stories tall and home to specialty offices, lab and imaging, a retail pharmacy with drive-thru access, and a medical equipment store.
— The hospital offers 147 private inpatient and ICU rooms, an expanded ER, modern birthing suites, advanced imaging and diagnostic systems, and more.
— Both facilities feature easy way-finding and step-saving design (e.g., OB/GYN offices on the third floor of the MOB are connected via skywalk to Labor and Delivery and other women’s services on the third floor of the hospital).
— The large campus provides 1,400 above-ground parking spots with 213 reserved spaces underground.
— 16 specialties are located in the MOB: Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab, Urology, Infectious Disease, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, Rheumatology, Hand Surgery, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Surgical Services, Gastroenterology, ENT with Audiology – plus room for more!
— The $550 million dollar project brings new jobs, economic growth, and improved health and wellness to the region.
— Additional acreage is available for future campus expansion.
As I stated at our groundbreaking event in 2018, the scale of this project may be enormous, but in the end, it all comes down to one simple idea: “Making More Possible” for you and your family. On behalf of the entire Trinity Health organization, I extend our gratitude to the employees, medical staff, community organizations, contractors, laborers, and every institution that contributed to the success of this project. Your support allows us to embark on a second century of providing advanced healthcare services to the people of Minot and this great region of ours.
