Trinity Health Foundation presented proceeds from its 10th Annual Turkey Drive to KHRT’s Horn of Plenty. The two-month drive raised just over $16,000 to purchase turkeys and other food items for area families this holiday season. Horn of Plenty Coordinator Roy Leavitt says the funds will help pay for a week or two of food for around 250 families, including items for a Christmas Day meal and toys for children. “It’s the community coming together that makes this program go,” he said. Foundation Director Dusty Zimmerman said this year’s Turkey Drive raised 20% more than last year. “This program is near and dear to Trinity Health employees,” she said. “When we put out the call, they deliver.” Pictured from left are Zimmerman, Leavitt, and Cody McManigal, donor relations coordinator for the Trinity Health Foundation.
