Members of the Ward County Sheriff’s Department celebrated a successful end to No-Shave November, presenting $1,860 to Trinity Health Foundation for the CancerCare Center’s Patient Assistant Fund.
No-Shave November is an annual fundraiser that gives male staff a month of freedom from shaving and challenges their female counterparts to dye their hair. “Every year we look forward to No-Shave November,” said Chief Deputy Hubbard. “It’s nice not to have to shave and nice to donate to something that for some of us is personal.”
Money raised from the campaign will help cancer patients pay for out-of-pocket expenses such as fuel, lodging, wigs, and compression garments.
