Employment Physicals

Trinity Health Occupational Medicine helps to manage and guarantee your company's compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other health regulations.

Pre-employment and employment physicals can help your business:

  • Verify whether employees are physically able to perform the required duties of their positions.
  • Determine a medical baseline for new employees at their date of hire in accordance with the applicable regulatory agency.
  • Administer periodic physical examinations, as required for compliance.

We perform:

DOT Exams

DOT physical examinations must be passed by all commercial drivers at least every two years as required by the federal government and conducted by a licensed and NRCME (National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners) certified healthcare professional prior to operating a commercial vehicle.

Pre-Employment Physical Exams

Pre-employment physical exams are performed to determine if a potential employee is physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job.

The exam is conducted with attention to the applicant's job duties including physical requirements and potential exposures to hazardous materials. The content of the exam depends on the particular job and the work-site assessment.

To avoid errors in either the content or the context of the examination, Trinity Health Occupational Medicine uses standard practices to which both the employer and the examining physician agree. Following the exam, the physician provides a written opinion about the person's suitability for performing the job without health and safety risk to self or others.

FAA, Class 1, 2 & 3

The Federal Aviation Administration has designated Dr. Reeve to perform Class 1, 2 & 3 medical exams. He is one of the few able to provide them in the state.

Annual Wellness Exams

Prevention programs can help keep employees healthy and on the job. Health promotion and prevention services include:
  • Vaccinations for Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, Influenza, Pneumonia, and MMR
  • Annual TB testing
  • Hearing assessments
  • Wellness screenings (cholesterol, blood sugar, hemoglobin and blood pressure)

Fit for Duty Exams

A fit for duty exam determines the ability of an injured worker to return to their job. Releasing employees back to work without understanding the full scope of their duties could risk further injury. We will evaluate if the employee is fully able to do their job or if any restrictions may be indicated to protect the employee and employer.

Immigration Exams

To obtain entry or residency in the United States, one must receive a thorough immigration medical exam and review of current immunizations. Dr. Reeve is the only physician in the area certified to perform these exams.

Travel Exams

Travel physicals are conducted as the first step to ensure an individual's health when traveling abroad. The exam includes a physical, health and immunization history review, and, when appropriate, immunizations and vaccinations.
