Leah Brewster DNP

Leah Brewster, DNP, has joined Trinity's Cardiology team as a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She'll work closely with cardiologists and other clinical staff to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including health assessments, care planning, writing prescriptions, and counseling patients on lifestyle changes that can reduce the risk of cardiovascular illness. A Stanley native, Leah is among a small but growing group of North Dakota nurses to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice, a degree program established in recent years to prepare nurse practitioners to provide the most advanced level of nursing care.

 Cardiology

Cardiology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine concerned with diagnosing and treating disorders of the heart and blood vessels. Cardiology includes diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology
