Shawna Dobrzelecki FNP-C

Shawna Dobrzelecki, FNP-C, a family nurse practitioner with military and civilian experience, has joined Trinity's team of providers at the Trinity Emergency/Trauma Center. A North Dakota native, Shawna received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Creighton University, Omaha. She served in the Army Nurse Corps, practicing in emergency, medical/surgical and pediatric settings in Colorado Springs and Kansas. Later, she and her family moved to Ohio where she continued her nursing practice and earned a master's degree in Family Nurse Practice from Wright State University in Dayton. She served patients at the Grandview Medical Center Emergency Department before returning to North Dakota. A member of the North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association, Shawna and her husband, Nick, have four children.


 Emergency Medicine

An emergency medicine physician receives training to care for patients with acute illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. While not providing long-term or continuing care, they diagnose a variety of illnesses and undertake various interventions to stabilize patients.
