Welcome to Trinity Orthopedic Center of Excellence
Nerve Disorders Affecting ExtremitiesThere are more than 100 kinds of peripheral nerve disorders that can affect one or many nerves. Certain disorders are the result of other diseases, like diabetic nerve problems. Others may happen after a viral infection or occur as a result of nerve compression, like carpal tunnel syndrome. In some cases the problem begins after an injury, while others are simply born with peripheral nerve disorders. Symptoms often start gradually and then get worse. They may include: numbness, pain, burning or tingling, muscle weakness, or sensitivity to touch.
Trinity Health Orthopedic Specialists, in conjunction with Trinity Pain Specialists and Neurologists, concentrate on the treatment of all types of peripheral nerve disorders and associated conditions. Comprehensive evaluation and treatment are provided, including non-invasive and surgical management.
Surgical outcomes depend on a number of varying factors and are unique to each patient.
