Launched in 2007, the Cancer Exercise Rehabilitation Program provides clinical exercise and conditioning for cancer patients and survivors to help them gain strength and resilience.
Cancer patients and survivors who risk becoming deconditioned due to cancer treatment or the disease itself can minimize these effects by becoming involved in Cancer Exercise Rehab. Patients work to develop strength, cardiorespiratory fitness and flexibility, while experiencing secondary benefits of reduced therapy side effects, less unwanted weight change, and improved sleep, energy, mood, body image and self-esteem. The program is free of charge to anyone that has been diagnosed with cancer through the Trinity Health Foundation and a large number of benefactors. More than 600 patients have benefited from this program.
